Location
Welbeck is midway between Sheffield and Nottingham, off the A60. Access to the motorway network is excellent. Welbeck is seven miles from the M1 to its west (Junction 30), and ten miles from the A1 to its east.
Retford Rail Station is thirteen miles away, with a direct schedule to London (best journey time 95 minutes). We are also served by the Robin Hood Airport (45 minute drive) and East Midlands Airport (56 minute drive).
Carriage Court
Originally built in 1860 from ashlar stone, Carriage Court has been sympathetically restored and is located on the Welbeck Estate, which extends to some 15,000 acres of rural North Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.
At it’s heart stands historic Welbeck Abbey. The estate is also home to a number of artisan businesses and organisations, including the School of Artisan Food; Welbeck Abbey Brewery, producing local ales in partnership with Kelham Island Brewery; Welbeck Bakehouse and Collingthwaite Dairy producing Stichelton cheese, a tradionally made blue cheese.
